Why i studying film-making

 I like studying film-making because I love immersing myself in a story and feeling that I am in another world, disconnected from my reality. I come from poor neighborhoods and those sectors in Chilean films are generally represented from the point of view of filmmakers from uptown neighborhoods.

In recent times, Chilean films only tell stories of wealthy people and it is difficult for me to empathize with those stories, because being set in a Chile different from what most Chileans experience, it seems sad to me. Perhaps it is contradictory to my initial inspiration, but being in a setting so far from Chilean reality gives me the feeling that they want to run from their origins and make heterogeneous stories, without identity.

That's why I like to studying film-making, to be able to make stories in the reality that most chileans live, with imperfect characters, anti-heroes, who do not run from their idioms and customs, but rather use them in their favor so that people when they see it on the screen feel identified and I managed empathize with the characters, to make them icons and to be part of the pop culture.
