Changes to my student program

Imagen
Understanding how complex it is to form a study program, how academics have considered the most complex paradigms to form this skeleton that will train professionals. I would say that it has many flaws, since there are grades that in my opinion are fundamental and are passed only in the third year. Let's go in parts, the first 2 years are for introduction and to see if the degree or disagree the career. But I would say, for example, that Production should be done in the second year and not in the third year, because they focus so much on photography, on sound, on things, but nobody asks who organizes this shit? Well, that's where production comes in, you have to give it support and it also has its magic. I find it very lazy that second-year students don't know what a script breakdown is in their second year. A bouquet that I would take out that although it is pretty, I would take it out and that bouquet is Creative Writing. It's basically to encourage the imagination, b...

Time to travel to the past or future

Imagen
I t's a delicate topic and there are several factors to consider, first it would be dangerous to travel to the past, as my father used to say “If you travel back in time don't step on anything, because even the tiniest chains can alter the future in ways you can’t imagine”. So I could not be held responsible for such changes in the world. I also couldn't go to a time where I could see myself since the encounter could create a time paradox  the results of which could cause a chain reaction I would unravel  the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe, granted that’s worst case scenario the destruction might have happy very localized limited to merely our own galaxy. I'm curious to go to the future, but I'd still be nervous to know more about the future. Has humanity advanced? Are we dead? Did the MCU end? These are questions that I would not like to answer since it would spoil the surprise. Maybe travel the next day and find out the lot...

My dream Job

Imagen
It's hard to think about what to do in life, because when you go beyond illusions into reality, everything becomes more difficult. To survive, one reaches a point where one would do anything to make ends meet. Devoting yourself to a passion and exercising it as a trade can be rewarding. Because I would do what I like to do and they would also pay me for it, Thats cool right? But there is also the possibility that, that passion gets dirty and you come to hate what you once loved. In my case, that is why I would like to dedicate myself to being a producer or writer. For three simple reasons: 1- Because it is a lifestyle. 2- Because it is a long-term project. 3- Because it is a work of permanent transformation and with a social meaning. I like to imagine stories and incorporate characters that live in this world that needs the complementation of other arts to be able to make the work itself. It is a true symphony, that when things are done well, it generates satisfaction in the soul a...

Best Holiday ever

Imagen
My favorite holiday at this point in my life is September 18. Not because I consider myself a patriot or something like that, because in Chile they usually celebrate more days compared to Christmas or New Year, also the 18th is something more informal. The last few years, I have celebrated the 18th at my boyfriend Gustavo's house, he lives in Concepción. The city is surrounded by forests and close to the sea, which gives it a nice landscape to relax. Strictly speaking, the 18th lasts 2 days, but by custom or "tradition" it is extended a couple of days, adding an extra holiday to the calendar in case it falls on a weekend. For the 18th, it is customary to dance the traditional Chilean dance "la cumbia", sorry, "la cueca" in its different types according to the geographical area of the country, in addition to playing different things such as the emboque, the oiled stick, sack race , etc. And the most important thing is to drink either chicha, wine, terr...

A country you would like to visit

I have never left Chile, in recent years I have been able to travel a bit of its geographical variety and get to know its landscapes. But I have never had the opportunity to leave the country, so if I were invited to one (with the cats paid) I would not think twice. In the case of choosing one in particular, I would like to go to something closer to home. So I would like to go to Argentina, because recently I have become a fan of its cinema and culture. I know they have beautiful landscapes like the Iguazú Falls or the Perito Moreno Glacier, but I would like to get to know the urban centers, the city of Buenos Aires or Mendoza, see the local tanguerías and take some classes. In the case of getting to work or study in Argentina, I would like to know what the audiovisual world is like there, go to some talks or film forums and if it were the case to work for a production company, that would be nice.

Why i studying film-making

Imagen
I like studying film-making because I love immersing myself in a story and feeling that I am in another world, disconnected from my reality. I come from poor neighborhoods and those sectors in Chilean films are generally represented from the point of view of filmmakers from uptown neighborhoods. In recent times, Chilean films only tell stories of wealthy people and it is difficult for me to empathize with those stories, because being set in a Chile different from what most Chileans experience, it seems sad to me. Perhaps it is contradictory to my initial inspiration, but being in a setting so far from Chilean reality gives me the feeling that they want to run from their origins and make heterogeneous stories, without identity. That's why I like to studying film-making, to be able to make stories in the reality that most chileans live, with imperfect characters, anti-heroes, who do not run from their idioms and customs, but rather use them in their favor so that people when they s...
