My favorite holiday at this point in my life is September 18. Not because I consider myself a patriot or something like that, because in Chile they usually celebrate more days compared to Christmas or New Year,also the 18th is something more informal. I have never left Chile, in recent years I have been able to travel a bit of its geographical variety and get to know its landscapes. But I have never had the opportunity to leave the country, so if I were invited to one (with the cats paid) I would not think twice.   I like studying film-making because I love immersing myself in a story and feeling that I am in another world, disconnected from my reality. I come from poor neighborhoods and those sectors in Chilean films are generally represented from the point of view of filmmakers from uptown neighborhoods. In recent times, Chilean films only tell stories of wealthy people and it is difficult for me to empathize with those stories, because being set in a Chile different from what most Chileans experience, it seems sad to me.
