What do you think of the health service in our country?
I believe that Chile have one of the most unequal health systems in the world, because in my experience of life the poor people don't get sick, that is, of course you can have a runny nose but you cannot afford to get sick, because the cost of recovery would be ridiculously expensive
and the nerve to find some medical deficiency and all the costs that they bring.
In my experience, the people who get sick the most are the people with more resources, because they can go to the doctor and have tests. Thank God I did not get seriously ill and if I did get sick the first thing I would think was how much have to pay.
And the treatment you have if you go to a public hospital or a clinic, waiting hours for medical attention. On the other hand, a clinic seems a different world, it becomes violent that people die waiting for surgery and that it is the relatives who answer the call from the hospital confirming the surgery in the middle of the wake of the patient.
Thats what i think about the health service of my country.
Hi Alejandro! It called my attetion your comment, because I never thougth about it like that and I think you are right, the poor people can´t get sick, they don´t have money for that, they must follow their life, they must continue working, they don´t have time for that...
ResponderBorrarhello alejandro, I agree with you, it is super violent that people without economic resources can not get sick, I have faced the situation you mention, when someone gets sick and you think how will we do it to pay if it is something expensive? and you answer yourself that it does not matter but it is really complicated.
ResponderBorrarI really agree with this comment, since I learned how much health services could cost in our country that I am concerned about telling my parents when I feel bad, that also includes mental health services.
